WHY BALINESE PEOPLE ARE SLIM
I recently returned from an overseas trip to beautiful Bali. One thing that stood out for me was that there were no fat Balinese people. Now before anyone starts getting insulted with the term fat, it is not an insult by the way; it’s a physiological state. When I refer to a person being fat I am not being critical, or impolite I am simply mentioning a scientific fact. Whew! now that we have that out of the way with…
Balinese portion sizes are small. Each time we went to eat at a restaurant the serving sizes were smaller than what we would get served here in our lovely country of Oz. Refer to picture. Grilled Salmon with garden salad and some fries. So if your goal is to drop a few kilos (pounds for our overseas friends) I encourage you to eat with smaller plates, as this will give you the impression your plate is full. Alternatively, make the effort to serve yourself smaller amounts of food during your meal times.
The biggest culprit I have found with overweight people is dinner time. Many people consume their biggest meal just before they head into the least active part of the day; night time, then they go to bed. Clever.
