In this article, I am sharing you with you some pearls of wisdom to get your “Head Stuff” right, in order to maximise the chances of you achieving your fitness goals.
“Go into the process with the best possible attitude.”
There is a strong relationship between attitude and outcome ( or results). I am often asked if a person’s attitude is genetically inherited or it can be developed. There is no doubt from my experience that attitudes can be developed. One of my favourite quotes comes from the psychologists William James “ The greatest discovery of my generation is that people can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.”
What does this mean? Well if you currently have a bad or negative attitude it can be made better, and if its good, it can be made even better.
I have watched hundreds of clients sabotage themselves with a crappy attitude; they whinge, complain and procrastinate and then end up back where they started anyway (or worse). But I have also watched many clients with limited genetics, time and money create and maintain amazing results because they got their heads where it needed to be.
Achieving amazing results are about a good attitude and effort – not genetics.
